Conemaugh Lake Sinkhole Culvert Repair

McCrossin Foundations was subcontracted to install 38-each 7” micropiles for the repair of an existing culvert in Blairsville, Pennsylvania for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. The limited access to the micropiles required that McCrossin utilize a specialty drilling rig to socket the piles into bedrock. The micropiles were installed with plumb and battered configurations inside a 20-foot wide shoring box with a Commachio MC 4D hydraulic drilling rig.
